David L. Rogers
Chief Executive Officer and Director
Mr. Rogers, a co-founder of Life Storage, serves as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, a position he has held since 2012. Before assuming his current role, Mr. Rogers served as the Company's Chief Financial Officer and Secretary from 1995 to February 2012, Vice President of Finance of the Company's predecessor from 1988 to 1995 and Controller and Due Diligence Officer from 1984 to 1988. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Rogers spent seven years as an accountant and systems analyst in both the public and private sectors.
Kenneth F. Myszka
Director of the Company since 1995. President of the Company since March 1997 and Chief Operating Officer of the Company from March 1997 to January 19, 2015. Mr. Myszka is one of the founders of the Company and has more than 30 years of experience in the self-storage industry. He is a certified public accountant and a graduate of the University of Buffalo Law School. He brings to the Board extensive experience in systems development, marketing and product innovations. Also, his legal and accounting background and in-depth experience in human relations provides the Board of Directors with valuable perspectives in the development and execution of the Company's business strategies and otherwise. In addition, he has an intimate knowledge of the Company's day-to-day operations, which gives him a detailed understanding of the Company's business strategy and operations.
Andrew J. Gregoire
Chief Financial Officer
Chief Financial Officer of the Company since 2012. Previously, Mr. Gregoire served as the Company's Vice President of Finance from 1998 to 2012. Prior to joining the Company, he was a Senior Manager at Ernst and Young LP where he was employed from 1988 to 1998. It was at Ernst & Young in which Mr. Gregoire was introduced to Life Storage during the Company's Initial Public Offering in 1995. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Joseph V. Saffire
Chief Investment Officer
Joseph V. Saffire was appointed as Chief Investment Officer in November 2017. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Saffire served as Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Banking of First Niagara Bank from April 2014 until September 2016 and served as an Executive Vice President and Head of Global Banking for Europe, the Middle East and Africa of Wells Fargo Bank from 2012 to 2014. Prior to 2012, Mr. Saffire served in various management capacities for over 20 years with HSBC Bank, including serving as Chief Operating Officer and Head of International Corporate and Commercial Banking from 2010 to 2012 and Executive Vice President and Regional President - Corporate and Commercial Banking from 2007 to 2010.
Edward F. Killeen
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Killeen was named Chief Operating Officer in 2015 and served as Executive Vice President, Real Estate Management since 2012. Mr. Killeen previously served as the Company's Vice President of Sales and Operations from 2005 until 2012. From 1998 - 2005, he served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and from 1997 - 1998 he was Regional Vice President for the Company's Southeast Region. Mr. Killeen joined Life Storage after 16 years in retail sales with The Advantage Company, a regional retailer of electronics, clothing, and footwear. His extensive retail management background has yielded great influence in establishing and refining processes and controls while also building the Company's brand.
